The Software Developer III position is responsible for utilizing established procedures, guidelines, and industry knowledge to identify and implement moderately complex to complex solutions that meet information technology (IT) systems needs. This role involves designing, coding, testing, and analyzing new and existing software under general to minimal direction. The successful candidate will support the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) / DoD migration system from the Automated Air Load Planning System to the Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES). This system assists users with staging and load-planning requirements for multiple military and commercial modes of transportation, integrating intelligent tools for staging, conveyance load planning, and multi-modal planning. The Software Developer III will develop, implement, improve, and maintain Crowley's Information Security solutions, including the Data Classification and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program. Responsibilities include developing and analyzing software products, performing software and system testing, participating in design meetings, and consulting with other staff to evaluate hardware and software interfaces. The role also involves preparing documentation, analyzing software requirements, coordinating software installations, and acting as a software development subject matter expert (SME). The candidate will be expected to mentor less experienced developers and establish partnerships within and outside the organization to maintain a unified approach to software development.
