About the position

The Software Developer III role at Bio-Rad involves leading teams in the Life Sciences Group to design, develop, and deploy applications that enhance Bio-Rad's life science research platforms. The developer will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical leadership, and ensure high standards in software development.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with software leadership, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand high-level requirements.
  • Dive into the software ecosystem to help steer the direction and long-term solutions.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in the development team.
  • Connect with customers to build the right solutions solving their needs.
  • Drive the implementation of development activities, both individually and as the technical lead of a team of developers.
  • Contribute in technical conversations and code reviews to ensure both design and code are up to the highest standards for software development.
  • Work in a high-paced environment and deliver results on schedule.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, focusing on web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Typescript, Angular, etc.
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and user-friendly web applications.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional systems delivery of complex hardware and software platforms.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging web technologies and trends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge or experience with .NET is desired but optional.
  • Preferred experience fostering Agile software and systems development in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to coordinate with peers and other teams for cross-functional alignment.
