About the position

ManTech is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Software Developer III to join their team in Fort Meade, MD. This role involves designing, engineering, and developing software systems and delivery processes, with a focus on Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. The position also includes mentoring junior staff and engaging with government leaders to define project goals and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Designing, engineering, analyzing, and developing software systems and software delivery processes.
• Modeling and analyzing software development and deployment processes.
• Assisting projects in tailoring Agile development and delivery techniques.
• Engaging with Government leaders to define context, problem space, and vision.
• Developing Agile processes, plans, and architectures to support software development, analysis, and operations.
• Supervising and mentoring subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.

Requirements

• 5 years of position-specific relevant experience and 9 years of overall experience.
• Bachelor's degree in an IT or related discipline.
• Experience in directing all aspects of IT application development.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Software Development or related discipline.
• DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification within 6 months of commencing work.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Relevant industry standard certifications.
