About the position

The Software Developer - JAVA 4 position at Adobe involves developing a new search platform that enhances the search capabilities across Adobe's product lines, including Creative Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Document Cloud. This role is critical in providing quick access to digital assets and improving user experience through advanced search algorithms and machine learning techniques. Responsibilities

• Work on search algorithms, web services, search indexing, data mining, big data, Hadoop, deep learning, recommendations, and performance by developing a search platform at Adobe.
• Apply data mining and machine learning to improve the ranking and recommendations as part of the search workflow.
• Build a platform to index billions of images, documents, and other assets in real-time.
• Maintain and optimize the search engine, identify new ideas to evolve it, develop new features, and benchmark possible solutions in terms of search relevance, recommendations, user experience, performance, and feasibility.
• Build search products using technologies such as Elastic Search, REST web services, SQL/Kafka, Machine Learning, and more.

Requirements

• Java programming skills
• Software design expertise
• Strong English oral and written communication skills
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in the industry
• Experience in engineering SaaS-based software development
• Experience with search engine technology, image search, and inverted indexes
• Experience with Elastic Search/SolR and AWS
• Hands-on experience with Java, Python, and PHP
• Hands-on experience in big data processing, Hadoop, and Spark
• Hands-on experience in building indexing pipelines
• Experience in web services and REST
• Experience with RDBMS & NoSQL databases
• Experience with embedding-based search is highly desirable.
