About the position

DirectEmployers is seeking a Software Developer with back-end development experience to join their Product Development department. This remote position involves working in an Agile environment, focusing on the creation and maintenance of custom software for job data processing. The role requires collaboration with a team of developers and may involve occasional travel to the headquarters in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and C#, along with experience in handling complex systems and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain custom screen scraping, ETL, and reporting software for job data.
• Work collaboratively in an Agile development environment.
• Optimize software for speed and efficient resource usage.
• Write and maintain code primarily in Java and C#.
• Handle database access and work with SQL Server and Windows Server systems.
• Present data back to users in a timely and relevant manner.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java programming language.
• Knowledge of SQL Server.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with complex systems.
• Experience handling large amounts of data and high traffic databases.
• Experience optimizing for speed and efficient resource usage.
• Familiarity with C#, XML, JSON, XSL, REST API, HTML, Javascript, and AWS.
