About the position

The Software Developer position at Buyers Edge Platform involves working within the Data Manager development team to enhance existing applications and support various projects related to customer alignment and system restructuring. This role is crucial as it impacts the flow of transactional data across the company, requiring collaboration with development teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that meet organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the development team and stakeholders to improve the existing application.
• Design and build scalable solutions to support the growing needs of the organization.
• Work with project managers or product owners to understand and define system requirements.
• Develop high quality code that adheres to best practices in design, proper testing, and good documentation.
• Fulfill stakeholders' needs and ensure they are satisfied with the end result.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing in an object-oriented language.
• 5+ years of experience working with relational databases (MySQL preferred).
• Strong experience with Java 8+.
• BA/BS in a technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent writing & verbal communication skills.
• Experience mentoring team members.
• Strong understanding of agile development methodologies (SCRUM a plus).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred experience with UNIX/Linux, JIRA, Confluence, AWS, Redshift, JPA, Git, React.
