About the position

The Software Developer Lead at Tentamus Group GmbH is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software applications. This role involves managing a U.S.-based development team, ensuring adherence to coding standards, and leveraging technical expertise in programming languages and software architecture. The position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure project success and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the U.S.-based development team, providing guidance and support.
• Direct and participate in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and security protocols are followed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and document technical specifications.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for process improvements.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Manage performance evaluations, task assignments, and development opportunities for team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in multiple programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, C#, JavaScript, Python).
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with cloud-based services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, microservices architecture, and API development.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in implementing LIMS Solutions and/or experience in a laboratory sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular) or mobile app development.
