About the position

Trissential is seeking a Software Developer - Level II Integration Developer to join their client team remotely in Minneapolis, MN. This role focuses on driving impactful API integrations that support critical internal and third-party solutions. The developer will leverage their expertise in API development and integration, particularly with Apigee and Informatica, to build reliable and scalable solutions. Working in an Agile environment, the developer will collaborate with a dynamic team to tackle complex data integration challenges, especially during the transition to AWS. This position offers a clear path to success for those passionate about shaping innovative solutions in a flexible remote work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage API integrations using Apigee and Informatica.
  • Follow the company's software development lifecycle to design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs.
  • Assist in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents, customizing software to meet application needs.
  • Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents, providing feedback to ensure quality and alignment.
  • Collaborate with development staff to maintain quality and consistency across projects.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews, ensuring solutions align with best practices and business goals.
  • Develop and maintain operational and system-level documentation, keeping critical processes well-documented.
  • Analyze system specifications and design, develop, modify, and install highly complex, customized software.
  • Participate in the escalation of live errors and service issues to minimize downtime and resolve problems quickly.
  • Recognize and resolve inconsistencies in detailed technical specifications, proposing changes to improve overall system efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in API development and integration (Apigee and Informatica preferred).
  • Proficiency in end-to-end integration processes and best practices.
  • Familiarity with AWS services like SNS, SQS, and Lambda is highly desirable as the project transitions to AWS.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
  • Expertise in API integration, particularly with Apigee and Informatica.
  • Deep understanding of integration patterns and processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on working well within Agile teams.
  • Ability to independently manage tasks from a well-defined backlog, with a strong sense of accountability.

Nice-to-haves

  • API design experience (nice to have).
  • Experience in regulated or utilities industries is a plus.
