About the position

The Software Developer for Amazon Q in Connect (QiC) is responsible for developing live-learning AI systems that enhance customer service experiences through innovative technology solutions. This role involves collaborating with product managers and AWS services to refine roadmaps, project management of software deliverables, and maintaining high operational standards. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape the technology and product of a fast-growing business in the cloud-based contact center space, directly impacting millions of customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop live-learning AI systems using Amazon Bedrock foundational models
  • Maintain a high operational bar (5 9s) for customer experiences
  • Engage with product managers on roadmap planning and delivery priorities
  • Project manage regular software deliverables that add customer value
  • Meet with customers to understand their business needs and innovate solutions
  • Collaborate with AWS services to refine roadmap to meet customer needs

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
