About the position

An employer in the Dayton, OH area is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity. This individual will be responsible for joining a team of 5 engineers/developers in a fast-paced, agile environment. The role involves developing software and creating systems, identifying system improvements, and ensuring that the solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment. The position requires the individual to obtain a Security Top Secret clearance and work on-site 3 days a week, depending on the current workload. Responsibilities

• Join a team of 5 engineers/developers in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Develop software and create systems.
• Identify system improvements and ensure solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment.
• Obtain a Security Top Secret clearance.
• Work on-site 3 days a week depending on the current workload.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
• 2+ years of experience in a Software Development role.
• Strong C++ and Python skills.
• Experience with Microservices and understanding of architecture.
• Experience with Docker.
• Signal Processing experience.
• Active Security Clearance (TS/SCI).

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree.
