About the position

The Software Developer position at OneView involves high-paced software development for both internal and external projects, requiring strong verbal and written communication skills. The role focuses on integrating products and services with outside entities, utilizing organizational skills and knowledge in payroll, accounting, or the benefits industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software development on a variety of projects ranging from industry-wide services to client-specific reports and interfacing technologies.
  • Create development code for product modules such as Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Time Management, Human Resources, and Talent Management.
  • Develop standard code for the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry.
  • Customize development code and reports for clients as needed, including EDI.
  • Adjust code after testing to address any concerns.
  • Collaborate with technology professionals such as developers, quality assurance, and application support on software projects.
  • Enhance products by collaborating with colleagues.
  • Ensure code and data accuracy with quality assurance teams.
  • Aid deployment and support of projects in partnership with Application Support.
  • Utilize project management software, issue tracking, and source control solutions to manage development specs and testing.
  • Participate in team and project meetings to collaborate on concepts and designs.
  • Gather feedback from customer support and clients to clarify specifications and testing needs.
  • Track communications with clients and vendors, serving as the primary project contact when necessary.
  • Participate in daily standup meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, or a related field.
  • Education, training, or experience in object-oriented programming, business intelligence tools, or mobile application development.
  • Demonstrated SQL programming and/or database experience with the ability to integrate multiple databases.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail and process.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycle, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet customer-initiated deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PHP, MySQL, SQL Server, C#, JavaScript, React, and Swift (Mobile).
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), ADO, XML, PowerBI, Fox Pro, CSS, TypeScript, Couchbase, and Docker.
