About the position

Go Jane Go is an invite-only digital community designed specifically for female professional business travelers. The platform serves as a web application that allows community members to register, engage in conversations, and share ideas, akin to an exclusive version of Facebook. The Go Jane Go platform is built using a Nest.js backend and a React single-page application frontend, with both components utilizing Typescript. The backend is deployed on AWS, leveraging services such as API Gateway and AWS Lambda. Currently, the platform is in the alpha/beta stage, accessible to test users, and features user applications, administrative user registration reviews, and automated account billing. The platform also includes social media functionalities for content creation and sharing. Future developments for the Go Jane Go platform are anticipated to introduce additional features, including the ability to connect with other users, asynchronous messaging, notifications, and gated access to exclusive content tailored for the Go Jane Go community. The development team is focused on enhancing the user experience and expanding the platform's capabilities to better serve its members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production web applications for the Go Jane Go platform.
• Implement unit and integration testing for software development.
• Utilize AWS technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and SNS, in application development.
• Administer and integrate MySQL databases with web applications.
• Design, deliver, and evolve backend APIs to support frontend feature development.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to enhance the platform's functionality.

Requirements

• Experience in developing and maintaining production web applications.
• Proficiency in AWS technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and SNS.
• Experience with MySQL administration and integration with web applications.
• Ability to build and scale web applications with user management, authentication, and role-based access features.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members.
