The Software Developer/Programmer 6 position at the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in Iowa involves converting data from project specifications into computer programs. Responsibilities

• Convert data from project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to create or modify computer programs.
• Participate in customer engagements and follow direction from lead technicians.
• Work closely with team members and provide feedback during peer review and pull request processes.
• Develop solutions using the core technology stack including .Net, SQL Server, Entity Framework, Bootstrap, and Angular.
• Engage in technical planning and contribute to the agile delivery process.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with a team.
• Ability to read, understand, and create user stories.
• Technical understanding of infrastructure components and their interactions.
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET, Restful API and/or MVC.
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Entity Framework, Dapper, or similar ORM.
• Agile delivery experience and familiarity with automated unit testing.
• Experience with T-SQL and MS SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Bootstrap 3+, Continuous Delivery, and VSTS/Azure DevOps.
