About the position

As a software developer, you will work with clients and others in a multidisciplinary team to define requirements and develop solutions. You will design, code, and test solutions for IBM Z platform, that use programming languages including Java, C/C++, Assembler, Python, and PL1. You would also be involved in process automation and code deployment using top of stack scripting languages and tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to define requirements.
• Design, code, and test solutions for IBM Z platform.
• Utilize programming languages including Java, C/C++, Assembler, Python, and PL1.
• Involve in process automation and code deployment using scripting languages and tools.

Requirements

• 5 - 9 years of software development experience.
• 5+ years experience in developing tools and products using at least one scripting language, preferably Python.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in working with Docker and container technologies: K8s, Openshift, Dockerhub, Docker Swarm.
• 2+ years experience in closely working with the team as a technical lead to translate requirements into work items (stories).
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in source control management tools (GitHub) and Agile Life Cycle Management tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiar with IBM Z platform.
• Experience with YAML, Jinja templating and Ansible playbooks.
• Experience with Jenkins, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• 5+ years' experience building enterprise software applications.
• 5+ years' experience administering and automating Linux.
