About the position

The Software Developer role at IBM involves managing and deploying cloud platforms, coding enhancements related to cloud infrastructure, and ensuring security compliance. The position focuses on scaling, backup and recovery, and cluster migrations across various cloud environments including AWS and IBM Cloud. The developer will implement code and architecture to evolve the cloud infrastructure, contributing to the overall efficiency and security of the platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deploy cloud platforms.
• Code and implement enhancements related to cloud platform and networking.
• Work on scaling, backup and recovery, cluster migrations, AWS, IBM clouds.
• Implement code and architecture for evolving cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure the platforms are security compliant.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Golang
• Experience with Python
• Shell scripting skills
• Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift and K8 Operators
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCS, and IBM Cloud internals
• High School Diploma/GED

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Terraform
• Knowledge of compliance standards (SOC2, FISMA, FedRamp, ISO27K, GDPR)
• Understanding of security architecture
• Experience in security networking
• Linux and web-development for security automation purposes
• Bachelor's Degree
