Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer, SME to join our team in the DMV area. We have opportunities in the Washington, DC area as well as Northern Virginia and Maryland. If you are looking for an opportunity in any of those locations, we encourage you to apply. As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with management, departments, and customers to identify end user requirements and specifications. You will design algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems, producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements. Your role will also involve testing and deploying programs and applications, troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software. You will compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance and observe user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products. Additionally, you will develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects and supervise and mentor subordinate project staff, engaging and working with other Software Developer IVs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with management, departments, and customers to identify end user requirements and specifications.
  • Design algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems and produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements.
  • Test and deploy programs and applications, and troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software.
  • Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance.
  • Observe user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products.
  • Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects.
  • Supervises and mentors subordinate project staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Development or a related discipline.
  • Seven or more (7+) years of position-specific relevant experience.
  • Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.
  • If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required.
  • If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Software Development or related discipline.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Relevant industry standard certifications.
