About the position

As an Application Developer at IBM, you will play a crucial role in transforming system requirements into customized systems within an agile environment. This position requires a Top Secret/SCI lifestyle and involves leading the development and maintenance of the Cache system using various programming languages and AWS services. You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage CI/CD pipelines, and ensure secure code deployment, all while contributing to IBM's mission of driving innovation and making a global impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and maintenance of the Cache system using Python, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript within an AWS GovCloud environment.
  • Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines leveraging AWS services like Lambda, Fargate, S3, and RDS.
  • Oversee 4-week sprint cycles, engaging with stakeholders for sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and user acceptance testing.
  • Ensure secure and compliant code deployment, performing security scans and audits in line with federal cybersecurity standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and User Guides.

Requirements

  • Software development experience, with advanced proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Deep expertise with AWS services including Lambda, CloudFormation, Fargate, OpenSearch and RDS experience in microservices architecture, API development, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to mentor team members and collaborate with stakeholders.
