About the position

As a Software Developer at Berkley Technology Services, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our premium audit tool and loss control tool, which are integral to both claims and policy management. Your primary focus will be on developing user-friendly portals for document management and auditing, ensuring that surveys are conducted efficiently, and that data is accurately analyzed and reviewed. You will also be responsible for addressing agent access issues, enabling them to seamlessly review documents and claims. This position involves managing the process of sending out audits to insured parties and receiving their submissions, which is vital for maintaining the integrity of our operations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about integrating vendor applications and understanding firewall navigation for secure data exchange. You will demonstrate the capability to resolve routine problems within our systems or processes and will be expected to modify existing functionalities or provide minor improvements with limited direction. Solid development processes, including code review, documentation, and unit testing, will be part of your responsibilities. You will work independently on multiple projects while ensuring that you meet the timely needs of our customers. Additionally, you may provide rotating on-call support for production systems, which will enhance your understanding of our operational environment. Responsibilities

• Develop portals for document management and auditing.
• Ensure surveys are conducted and data is accurately analyzed and reviewed.
• Address agent access issues to enable seamless document and claims review.
• Manage the process of sending out audits to insured parties and receiving their submissions.
• Resolve routine problems within a system or process.

• Demonstrate solid development processes including code review, documentation, and unit testing.

• Provide rotating on-call support of production systems.

Requirements

• 2 - 4 years of experience as a standard coder.
• 1-2 years of experience with .Net applications backend with C#.
• Experience with Angular is a plus.
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle.
• Ability to thrive and produce results with little or no supervision in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact seamlessly at all levels with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong customer service focus and sense of urgency.
• Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and systems.
• Superior problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in a related field or equivalent experience.
