About the position

As a Software Developer at Memorial Health System, you will play a crucial role in developing, modifying, and administering various development platforms. This position involves assisting in the design, maintenance, and support of current development applications, as well as creating documentation to communicate and analyze information flow. You will serve as a developer, trainer, and analyst throughout the design, development, evaluation, selection, implementation, and ongoing support of systems within the Solution Development department. The role emphasizes adherence to the organization's Performance Excellence Standards, focusing on safety, courtesy, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, modifying, and administering custom solutions including SharePoint applications.
  • Design, maintain, and support complex applications for hospital organizations.
  • Develop documentation to communicate and analyze information flow related to application delivery.
  • Serve as first-line support for maintenance of assigned systems.
  • Assist in coordinating test plans and identifying application issues prior to production implementation.
  • Work with teams to identify project risks and provide resolution for solution integration points.
  • Assist with system installations, updates, and problem resolution impacting system performance.
  • Participate in change management processes at application and departmental levels.
  • Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update, and add new features.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to set specifications for new applications.
  • Monitor assigned systems, document performance, and recommend alternatives for service degradation.
  • Coordinate disaster recovery for responsible systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Three to four years of technical experience in custom development, particularly in SharePoint, Web Applications, and/or Mobile development platforms.
  • Three or more years of experience in application development or similar roles.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and basic understanding of databases, interfaces, networks, and hardware.
  • Programming skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with all staff levels.
