About the position

The Software Developer position at Vantage involves developing, debugging, and maintaining web-based applications, particularly in Java, to support educational tools and services. The role is integral to the core application development team, contributing to innovative language-based solutions that enhance communication and information processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and maintain computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specified documents, data, and information.
• Develop web-based assessment and instruction tools for schools, publishers, and higher education facilities utilizing Java, XML, Relational Databases, PL/SQL, JSP, Java Servlets, Struts, HTML, JavaScript, AI, machine learning, distributed computing, and natural language processing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent 5+ years of experience in the field.
• Experience with Java, XML, Relational Databases, PL/SQL, JSP, Java Servlets, Struts, HTML, JavaScript, AI, and machine learning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies like XP and Scrum.
