About the position

Group W is seeking a Software Developer to join their team in Alexandria, VA. This role involves applying programming and software engineering expertise to develop and enhance defense analytic and workflow tools. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a hybrid team to build and maintain a variety of defense applications, utilizing a range of programming languages and web technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop web-based applications within existing frameworks
• Maintain updated knowledge of new and emerging industry trends and technology
• Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance or upgrade interfaces

Requirements

• Department of Defense Secret Clearance
• Four-year STEM degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, etc.)
• U.S. Citizen

Nice-to-haves

• CompTIA Security+ Certified
• Experience with feature-driven development
• Experience working on Department of Defense organizational and workflow processes
• Graduate-level coursework in computer programming
