About the position

As a Software Developer, you will be engaged in a contract-to-hire role that requires you to work closely with the Client's systems to develop and support various software initiatives. This position is hybrid, based in Naperville, IL, where you will initially work on-site every day for the first week for training, followed by a schedule of 2-3 days per week on-site. This role is specifically for W2 candidates only, and unfortunately, we cannot accommodate sponsorship or vendor applications. The projects you will be involved in are diverse and include web-based projects, line of business applications, legacy system upgrades, and system integrations. You will need to leverage your significant professional experience with the .NET web software stack, which includes C#, ASP.NET MVC Framework/Core, Entity Framework, and SQL Server. Familiarity with Visual Studio or VS Code is essential, as well as proficiency in front-end languages and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap. In addition to your development skills, you will be expected to have experience in building APIs and a solid understanding of common API architecture practices. Your role will also involve database schema design, writing and optimizing SQL queries, and database administration. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services related to web, data, and automation is also required. Familiarity with Git source control is necessary to manage your code effectively. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Significant professional experience with the .NET web software stack (C#, ASP.NET MVC Framework/Core, Entity Framework, SQL Server).
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio or VS Code.
  • Experience with front-end languages and frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap).
  • Demonstrated experience in building APIs and understanding of API architecture practices.
  • Experience in database schema design and writing/optimizing SQL queries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with BI or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
