About the position

Kwik Trip Inc. is adding an additional Full-Time Software Developer due to its continued growth and success. The position is based in La Crosse, WI, at the company's expansive support campus, which includes various production facilities, a distribution center, and numerous support departments. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing and supporting IT solutions that enable Kwik Trip to serve its customers, co-workers, and suppliers effectively. Your regular tasks will include conceptualizing, designing, coding, testing, implementing, documenting, and supporting high-quality applications. You will also set the organizational development strategy, application design, and architecture, ensuring the security of all web sites and related applications. The primary focus will be on ASP.NET and mobile app development, initially for iOS.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizing, designing, coding, testing, implementing, documenting, and supporting high-quality applications.
  • Setting organizational development strategy, application design and architecture, and ensuring security of all web sites and related applications.
  • Keeping abreast of CTRM/ETRM technologies and knowledge of commodities as an innovator on the Applications Development team.
  • Observing others, learning systems, and growing personal programming skills.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of application and database design, development, and implementation.
  • Experience with ASP.NET core (C# preferred), HTML/CSS/JavaScript, SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, development best practices, secure coding standards, mobile app development, responsive web design, automated unit testing, and PCI guidelines is a plus.
  • Knowledge with CTRM/ETRM and its interfaces is a plus.
  • Experience in Refined Products would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Commodity Trading and Accounting would be helpful.
