About the position

Ring0 Technologies (Ring Zero) is seeking a passionate Software Developer to join our cutting-edge cyber security team located in Hanover, MD. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn and expand their cyber programming skills while working in challenging computer environments. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative software solutions that meet the needs of our clients in the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), Federal Law Enforcement, and Homeland Security sectors. In this position, you will be integrated into the Software Development Lifecycle, contributing your expertise in various areas such as compilers, multi-threading, networking, and memory management. You will utilize your programming skills in languages such as C, C++, and Python to tackle complex problems and enhance existing solutions. Continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies are essential aspects of this role, as is effective communication with team members, leadership, and customers regarding project status and updates. The ideal candidate will possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph and will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities

• Design and develop new bleeding edge software.
• Work with the entire Software Development Lifecycle.
• Contribute expertise in areas including compilers, multi-threading, networking, and memory management.
• Utilize programming skills in C, C++, and/or Python to solve complex problems and improve solutions.
• Continue to learn and grow as technology evolves.
• Communicate project status with team members, leadership, and customers.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C, C++, Objective C, and/or Python.
• Experience in troubleshooting and debugging.
• Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

• CNO capability development experience.
• Proficiency with networking (TCP/IP) and socket level programming.
• Experience in software analysis and reverse engineering.
• Knowledge of low-level internals in technology areas such as Windows, Unix, Mobile, or Network devices.
• Understanding of assembly programming concepts.
• Experience with unit testing.
• Familiarity with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible).
