About the position

Markon, LLC is seeking a Software Developer to support its Intelligence customer by specializing in the design and development of automated testing. This role emphasizes the importance of collaboration, innovation, and personal growth within a dynamic team environment, contributing to critical missions for federal agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated tests in Python and Java.
• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium, Postman API, and Katalon.
• Meet with stakeholders to analyze requirements and create user stories and related artifacts, translating these into test plans and well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Participate in the Agile software development process and adhere to all reporting requirements.
• Develop repeatable test procedures, execute test scripts, and document results.
• Create and present technical documentation, test cases, test reports, and test data sets to support program status reviews and other presentations.
• Coordinate integration testing with other enterprise service programs and test teams.

Requirements

• Experience in developing automated tests using Python and Java.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Selenium and Postman API.
• Familiarity with GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence for project management and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with software developers to identify and resolve defects.

• Java development skills to integrate testing components.
