About the position

SkillStorm is seeking Software Developers to join a government system integrator client. This role involves the development, configuration, and testing of applications, requiring collaboration with product owners, business analysts, and development teams. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical foundation, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn in a team-oriented environment. Security clearance is necessary for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and configuration of applications and solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and completeness of requirements.
• Participate in testing activities, including developing test plans and executing automated test cases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to applications and integrations.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions and the development of internal documentation.
• Stay updated with the latest features and industry trends to enhance development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5 years of W2 experience, including at least 2 years of relevant technical experience, is required.
• Relevant industry experience, with a preference for candidates familiar with application development and testing methodologies.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• US Citizenship is required for public sector roles.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience using OOP programming languages, testing tools, and database management.
• Proven understanding and application of Waterfall, Agile Scrum, and Kanban software development methodologies.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Ability to navigate project management and workflow tools.
