Software Developer

About the position

The position involves coding, testing, and documenting software programs while providing user support. The role is primarily focused on software development within an Agile team, requiring effective communication and ownership of programming issues. The candidate will work independently and is expected to meet deadlines while adapting to new technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Code, test, and document programs.
• Provide user support for Altec associates via phone, email, and in person.
• Architect simple applications.
• Communicate effectively with Agile team members and contribute strongly to the team.
• Resolve simple programming issues within a single application without supervision.
• Quickly adopt new technical skill sets and be proficient with programming tools.
• Meet deadlines and work independently at least 50% of the time.
• Display judgment in prioritization of work.
• Follow internal development processes and standards.
• Maintain company confidentiality.
• Interact with users for programming specification clarification and detail.
• Write technical documentation.
• Perform software testing.
• Track and maintain constant communication with the customer from the beginning to the end of any established case, issue, or concern.
• Remain highly adaptable.
• Willingness to work outside standard business hours to resolve issues or complete special projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline strongly preferred, or four years relevant work experience.
• At least two years recent programming experience with C#, Typescript, or JavaScript required.
