About the position

As a Software Developer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will be responsible for developing efficient and effective software solutions in an agile environment. This role involves utilizing the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks to address complex challenges faced by clients. You will work on creating user-oriented systems, from initial vision to production-ready applications, while also identifying and implementing system improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop efficient and effective software solutions from vision to production-ready systems.
  • Utilize the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks to solve client challenges.
  • Code and deliver solutions that support current architecture and operating environment.
  • Oversee future functionality and enhancements of software systems.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and implement system improvements.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in agile software development to modernize systems.
  • 6+ years of experience with web or data analysis languages, including Java or Python.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Splunk or Elastic Stack (ELK).
  • Experience with automation across multiple technical stacks to support build and testing.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the intelligence community (IC).
  • Experience mentoring or supervising employees in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, Server-Side Development, Middleware, Application or Data Integration, API Development, Core Application Systems, Data Engineering, or Data Science.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines or developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
