About the position

As a Software Developer at Wise Equation Solutions, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with various teams including Product, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps to achieve project objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass all phases of the development cycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, rollout, and ongoing support. You will be tasked with building clean and well-defined backend services that can scale to meet increasing user demands and workload. In this position, you will also be responsible for testing core functionalities of our applications to ensure reliability and performance. You will implement scalable applications using modern design patterns and practices, and conduct research on new libraries and emerging trends in front-end UI technology. Your ability to turn high-level requirements into functional systems through iterative development will be essential. Additionally, you will implement Slack notifications for actions performed in the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) process. You will manage, design, and maintain AWS architecture components and services, including Web API Gateway and Elastic Search Service. Building Node.js scripts to ping AWS Lambdas for generating Cloud Watch logs for testing will also be part of your responsibilities. Flexibility to work on multiple projects and adapt to changing requirements is key in this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, QA, DevOps, etc. to achieve project objectives.
• Utilize development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, Jenkins, Jira/Rally, Fisheye, SVN, Eclipse or equivalent.
• Perform in all phases of the development cycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, rollout, and support.
• Build clean, well-defined backend services that scale to an ever-increasing user and workload demand.
• Test core functionality of applications to ensure reliability and performance.
• Build and implement scalable applications using modern design patterns and practices.
• Research new libraries and emerging trends in the front-end UI technology stack.
• Turn high-level requirements into a working system through iterative development.
• Implement Slack notifications for every action performed in CICD.
• Manage, design, and maintain AWS architecture components and services including Web API Gateway and Elastic Search Service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor's degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
