About the position

Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Software Developer to join our team. This position is vital for expanding and improving the company's future technologies. As a Software Developer, you will contribute to the growth of innovative technologies in a fast-paced industry, providing innovative, cost-effective site solutions to engineers, contractors, and developers across North America. This is an onsite position located in West Chester, OH, and we are looking for local candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Meet and work with business, engineering, CAD, marketing, and manufacturing leaders to discuss projects.
• Gather necessary information and requirements from business leaders to complete a project.
• Develop and maintain project scopes, reports, and updates.
• Assist Technologies Manager and Director of Business Applications in organizing, reporting, and presenting project progress.
• Develop and create software ranging from desktop to web-based depending on requirements.
• Maintain and continually upgrade existing software created by you or other team members.
• Perform engineering calculations and provide technical support during project development.
• Research and understand the technical aspects of the construction products industry in relation to internal and external customer needs and outlook.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and materials relative to our business.
• Research adjacent markets for product and technology opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the full cycle of product development and design to successfully bring products to market.

Requirements

• Technical degree in IT, Computer Science or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in C#, SQL, JS, Visual Studio, API integration, and Front end UI development is required.
• Must be hands-on, highly motivated, and energetic.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to take ownership of product development projects and lead projects to successful completion - Full stack development.
• Ability to prioritize and manage several projects and maintain critical project timelines.
• High level of detail orientation, analytical skills, and problem-solving is necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Azure, Git, ASP.net, WPF, Winforms, HTML, CSS, Python, and AutoCAD/Fusion 360/Inventor/Solid Works.
• Engineering experience and engineering project management skills are preferred.
• Experience in performing engineering design and analysis and the development of 3-D solid models utilizing Autodesk or similar software.
