About the position

Amentum is seeking a Software Developer to support the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD, and Ft Belvoir, VA. This role involves developing, analyzing, and designing software products while collaborating closely with government project leads. The position requires extensive knowledge in computer science and software engineering, with responsibilities including software testing, product design, and documentation preparation. The role is contingent upon project award and requires a valid Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, analyze, and design software products.
• Utilize advanced knowledge in computer science and software engineering.
• Perform software and system testing procedures, including bug verification and release testing.
• Participate in design meetings and evaluate hardware-software interfaces.
• Conduct complex release testing and beta support for projects.
• Prepare necessary documentation for software products.
• Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Consult with customers regarding software application and maintenance.
• Coordinate installation of software systems.
• Create error-free software code under supervision.
• Develop software documentation and strategies.
• Conduct quality control of software development processes.
• Identify and mitigate risks in software development.
• Work collaboratively in teams to write specific program sections and test outputs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field.
• 1-10+ years of experience in software development.
• Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance required.
• Experience in both Windows and web development environments.
• Experience in developing and implementing algorithms.
• Experience in database design.
