About the position

StraitSys Inc is seeking a skilled Front-End Software Developer specializing in UI/UX to design, implement, and maintain engaging and responsive web interfaces. This role involves creating seamless web applications that align with user needs and business goals, while also supporting the modernization of digital products. The developer will collaborate closely with government personnel, project managers, and the software development team to enhance user experience and ensure efficient system operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective designs.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to enhance the overall user experience.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and performance, adhering to best practices.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends in UI/UX design technologies.

Requirements

• Active Top-Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in ASP.NET, MVC, SASS, and Bootstrap, along with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• 3+ years of related job experience.
• Strong understanding of front-end development within a cloud environment.
• Experience in creating wireframes and user flows, with a strong portfolio showcasing design work.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in C#, Netframework, AJAX, SignalR, FetchAPI, and/or WebSockets.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile/Scrum and CI/CD methodologies.
• Knowledge of back-end technologies (Node.js, Express, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills, able to deconstruct user behavior and feedback to create improved experience for users.
