In this role, you will be responsible for designing an automation framework in Java, utilizing multiple technologies and Java libraries. Your primary duties will include reviewing both the technical and functional requirements of applications, as well as understanding the front-end and back-end requirements that dictate how an application should behave. You will need to comprehend the requirements of the application and its architecture thoroughly. Based on this understanding, you will design an automation strategy and quality assurance (QA) strategies that maximize the benefits of automation while ensuring compliance with the application's requirements. Additionally, you will be tasked with building the framework and gaining a comprehensive understanding of all applicable applications that will be automated, including how they interact with one another. This understanding is crucial to ensure that the framework's structure is organized appropriately. The position is full-time, with a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least three years of experience in the job offered or a related role within the IT industry. Of this experience, you must have at least one year of experience in each of the following technologies: Java, Visual Basic Script (VBS), Python, C#, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Junit, TestNG, Playwright, Cypress, HP UFT, Gradle, Maven, JIRA, Zephyr, VersionOne, HP ALM, AWS, Google Cloud, Linux, Windows, and MS Office Suite. The position allows for up to 40% telecommuting, provided you are located within Maryland State. However, you may also be assigned to unanticipated client locations within the United States. Please note that this role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology, so applicants must be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
