About the position
This position is part of a team with a diverse skill set, responsible for improving, researching, analyzing, troubleshooting, and consulting on IT-supported software systems, as well as integrating and developing new and existing software, databases, and reporting solutions in web and/or desktop contexts. Some key languages used are C#, UniBasic, T-SQL, HTML/XML/XSLT, CSS, and Javascript (with emphasis on jQuery and KnockoutJS). Individuals are encouraged to specialize (usually in our ERP or our web apps).
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and develop enterprise software and databases
- Create reports and utilities
- Develop interfaces with third party software and systems
- Facilitate communication with clients and coworkers
- Author and maintain documentation
- Complete assignments according to predefined requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
- Two (2) years of experience with software development
- One year of experience in general database programming
- Specialization in Ellucian Administrative software, report-writing tools or ASP.NET (Web Form and MVC), and/or Git version control system
- Proficiency in Microsoft/Apple operating systems and Microsoft Office products
