About the position

Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) is seeking a Software Developer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of experience in providing Information Assurance and Cybersecurity solutions tailored for customers across the Department of Defense (DoD). This role requires a developer with experience in service-oriented architecture and the ability to analyze user requirements effectively. The Software Developer will be responsible for envisioning system features and functionality, designing and developing user interfaces, and determining appropriate design methodologies. The position involves completing programming tasks and conducting thorough testing to ensure the quality and functionality of the software developed. In this role, the Software Developer will oversee the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products, guiding them from initial specifications through to final rollout and ongoing maintenance. The developer will be responsible for integrating various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices, ensuring seamless operation and functionality. Additionally, the candidate will manage the entire development cycle associated with producing resilient software, hardware, and web applications, which includes specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance. The role also encompasses designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining the organization’s systems infrastructure, which includes the implementation and design of both hardware and software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements and envision system features and functionality.
  • Design and develop user interfaces based on user requirements.
  • Determine design methodologies and complete programming tasks.
  • Conduct testing to ensure software quality and functionality.
  • Oversee the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.

Requirements

  • One of the following certifications: CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent DoD 8570.01 IAT-3 certification is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering/software development.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance; a DoD Interim Secret clearance is required to start.
