As a Software Developer at Paycom, you will engage in high-paced software development for international projects, necessitating strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English. Your role will involve integrating our products and services with external entities, including vendors, clients, and other third parties. The projects you will work on will require robust organizational skills and a solid understanding of payroll, accounting, or benefits industry knowledge. You will be responsible for developing a variety of software solutions, from industry-wide services to client-specific reports and interfacing technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include creating development code for various product modules such as Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Time Management, Human Resources, Talent Management, and Reports. You will also be tasked with developing standard code for the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry, as well as customized code and reports tailored to client needs, including EDI. After testing, you will make necessary adjustments to the code to address any concerns raised during the testing phase. Collaboration is key in this role; you will partner with technology professionals, quality assurance teams, and application support to ensure the successful deployment and support of projects. In addition to technical development, you will engage in project management activities, utilizing software tools to track communication regarding development specifications, testing, and fixes. You will participate in team and project meetings to share ideas and enhance product offerings. Your role will also involve close communication with external entities to ensure project satisfaction and clarity in client needs. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, facilitating discussions regarding development needs with third parties as necessary. This position requires a proactive approach to managing multiple concurrent projects while adhering to organizational processes and tracking project metrics effectively.
