About the position

The Software Developer position at Robert Half is a contract-to-hire role based in Raleigh, North Carolina, focused on designing, testing, and maintaining software systems within the Staffing & Recruitment industry. The developer will work with various technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of robust applications and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing new software applications using technologies such as C++, ASP.NET, and Ajax.
• Keeping up to date with the latest software development technologies and methodologies.
• Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts.
• Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise.
• Developing technical specifications and design documents for application development projects.
• Using Atlassian Jira for effective project management and bug tracking.
• Conducting AB testing to understand user behavior and refine user interface.
• Developing robust APIs for use in different systems.
• Participating in Agile Scrum meetings to provide insights and track progress.
• Assisting in updating and maintaining back-end code.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience with Atlassian Jira
• Proficient in Backend Development
• Experience with Bug Tracking and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Proficient in C++ programming language
• Familiarity with GitHub and version control systems
• Experience in AB Testing and improving software performance
• Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies
• Proficiency in Ajax for creating asynchronous web applications
• Experience in API Development and maintenance
• Knowledge and experience in ASP.NET framework.
