About the position

The Software Development Engineer position at Amazon Robotics involves building and scaling a new foundational system that integrates multiple custom robots into a cohesive solution for warehouse robotics. The role focuses on software development, particularly using cloud technologies and edge-deployed software, to enhance the efficiency of robotic systems across the fulfillment network.

Responsibilities

• Work across teams to design and develop software which integrates with hardware
• Prototype new concepts or features through simulators, emulators and with live robotic equipment in the lab
• Work directly with internal customers and see the impact of your products in the field

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Expert level knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C#

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience working on software which controls robots or other hardware like telecom and medical devices
