About the position

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build and scale a new foundational system that integrates multiple custom robots into a cohesive and efficient solution across the fulfillment network. This role is critical for the Robotics organization and involves designing and developing software that interacts with hardware, prototyping new concepts, and working directly with internal customers to see the impact of the products in the field.

Responsibilities

• Work across teams to design and develop software which integrates with hardware
• Prototype new concepts or features through simulators, emulators and with live robotic equipment in the lab
• Work directly with internal customers and see the impact of your products in the field

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Expert level knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C#

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience working on software which controls robots or other hardware like telecom and medical devices
