About the position

Amazon Robotics develops state-of-the-art robotics for Amazon's Fulfillment Centers, handling more individual items than any company in the world. We are combining computer vision and custom robots to solve real-world problems at a huge scale. Our team collaborates with a variety of customers across Amazon worldwide to conceive, develop, prototype, and deploy a wide range of robotic systems. We are seeking talented, enthusiastic, and motivated Engineers to design, develop, integrate, troubleshoot, optimize, test, and lead the development of software that controls and optimizes robotic fulfillment centers at a very large scale. As a key contributor to our product development roadmap, you will help develop software features, tools, and mechanisms to operate large robotic fleets consisting of tens of thousands of robots. You will have opportunities to collaborate and work with research scientists, applied scientists, data scientists, and cross-functional teams on cutting-edge solutions for Amazon's ever-growing robotic fleet. In this role, you will architect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure. You will influence the team's strategy and contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap. Working with stakeholders across the organization, you will iterate on design and implementation while maintaining high standards by participating in reviews, designing for fault tolerance and operational excellence, and creating mechanisms for continuous improvement. You will prototype and test concepts or features, both through simulation and emulators and with live robotic equipment. Additionally, you will work directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and incorporate feedback, while also mentoring other engineering team members.
