About the position
Amazon Web Services is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Batch engineering team. This role focuses on developing scalable distributed systems that provide a reliable compute platform for users to efficiently run their workloads in the cloud. Responsibilities
- Develop scalable distributed systems for AWS Batch.
- Collaborate with team members to solve complex problems.
- Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new and existing systems.
- Ensure high reliability and performance of the compute platform.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Nice-to-haves
- 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Excellent fundamentals in data structures and object-oriented design.
- Development experience with Java-based web services.
- Experience with designing large-scale distributed systems.
- Solid knowledge of Linux fundamentals.
