About the position

The Software Development Engineer in AWS Security SecDevOps is responsible for developing innovative security tooling within AWS Security. This role involves leveraging modern technologies and AWS services to enhance the productivity of AWS security response engineers. The position requires delivering software solutions that address business challenges while ensuring security and efficiency at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal security tooling for AWS Security.
• Build APIs, websites, and tools for AWS Security Operations.
• Create a Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform.
• Collaborate with customers to incorporate real-time features into development processes.
• Ensure high availability and integration with various services and tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Linux or Mac command-line experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience programming in TypeScript, Python, Java, or Rust.
