About the position

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE II) in the AWS Verified Access team, you will play a crucial role in building zero trust network access capabilities for AWS customers. This position involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying systems that secure critical infrastructure. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to influence strategy, define the roadmap, and mentor junior engineers, contributing to the overall success of AWS's innovative cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy zero trust systems.
• Collaborate closely with a team of engineers to influence overall strategy and define the team's roadmap.
• Drive system architecture and spearhead best practices for product quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and help them succeed in their roles.
• Contribute to the design of core components of AWS Verified Access.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
