About the position

The Software Development Engineer in the CloudTune organization at Amazon is responsible for developing scalable and user-friendly cloud solutions that leverage Amazon's extensive cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on building foundational infrastructure capabilities and tools that enhance customer experiences across various Amazon businesses. The engineer will tackle complex challenges, work with cutting-edge technologies, and collaborate with teams to ensure reliable performance for millions of daily users.

Responsibilities

• Tackle large-scale challenges using data-driven and algorithmic solutions.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers, product managers, and leaders to create innovative products.
• Design and develop highly distributed system components.
• Influence and guide the work of technically proficient customers and partners.
• Work on the latest AWS technologies, CDK, and software programming languages like Java or Python.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with Cloud Development Kit (CDK)
• Experience with Java
