About The Position

The Software Development Engineer in Data Science and Analytics at AWS Hardware is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining services and infrastructure that support operations, quality, health, machine learning, and analytics for AWS cloud hardware. This role involves working with big data and machine learning systems to enhance performance and availability, making a significant impact on cloud computing technology.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain systems for capturing, persisting, vending, and streaming big data for analytics and machine learning.
• Drive technology development for Big Data and ML architecture and systems.
• Collaborate with teams to invent, design, and build stable and performant software.
• Provide system-wide design guidance and ownership of team architecture.
• Optimize systems to handle ever-changing environmental conditions monitored by millions of sensors.
