About the position

The Software Development Engineer position within the Customer Engagement Technologies (CET) team at Amazon focuses on building innovative software solutions for a new Customer Relations Management (CRM) system. The role emphasizes reducing cognitive load on Customer Service Associates while enhancing customer engagement through cutting-edge technologies and machine learning. The ideal candidate will collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and improve customer-facing products, ensuring a high-quality customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build scalable software product to solve business problems
  • End-to-end project delivery including design, coding, testing and release
  • Software development
  • Daily scrum
  • Weekly team meetings and tech discussions
  • Biweekly sprint planning
  • Bimonthly oncall rotations
  • Occasional team social and org events

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling)
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
