About the position

The Software Development Engineer role focuses on enhancing the core functionality of the Gaming Application, specifically within the Xbox app. The position involves developing new user interface features, fixing existing bugs, and improving the overall player experience. Collaboration with product managers and designers is essential, along with a strong emphasis on automated testing to ensure quality and prevent regressions.

Responsibilities

• Build new user interface features in the gaming application in partnership with Product Managers and Designers
• Fix bugs in existing user interface features in the gaming application in partnership with other engineers
• Build unit tests, functional tests, and manual tests for any new functionality or upgrading tests to prevent regressions in bugs fixed

Requirements

• Strong ReactJS and React Native knowledge & experience is required
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time
• Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
• Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues
• Experience with C++
• 3+ years of experience required
