About the position

The Software Development Engineer II in Robotics Automation Integration Technologies at Amazon is responsible for developing next-generation software platforms and automation solutions within the Fulfillment Technology and Robotics organization. This role involves working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to enhance critical warehouse technology, focusing on both embedded systems and cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex backend and infrastructure tools for automation solutions.
• Work across multiple layers of the software stack, including embedded firmware, user-facing front-end systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Assist in the development of globally deployed technology solutions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external partners to improve warehouse technology.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Knowledge of embedded systems architecture, including microcontrollers, microprocessors, device drivers, and firmware development.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with AWS technologies (AWS CLI, CloudWatch, IAM, SSM, Networking).
• IoT experience with technologies like Greengrass.
• Experience in debugging, logging, and metrology.
