About the position
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role is focused on ensuring the quality of software products through rigorous testing and automation. This position requires extensive experience in quality assurance, particularly in automated testing, and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies. The SDET will work closely with development teams to implement testing strategies that enhance product reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated tests for software applications.
- Perform manual regression testing as needed.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and design test cases.
- Utilize testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Codecept for automation.
- Test Restful APIs using tools like Rest Assured and Postman.
- Analyze test results and report defects to the development team.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
Requirements
- 9+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
- 5 years of experience with Java programming language.
- Strong understanding of QA engineering, analysis, and testing concepts.
- Experience with automated testing including integration, API tests, and end-to-end testing.
- Proficiency in testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Codecept.
- Experience with manual regression testing.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases like Oracle.
- 3+ years of experience testing Restful APIs using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Development principles.
