The Software Development Engineer in Test at Apple is responsible for maintaining automated test execution suites for iOS and macOS applications, frameworks, and APIs. Responsibilities

• Maintain automated test execution suites for iOS and macOS apps, frameworks, and APIs.
• Analyze test results and reproduce reported issues.
• Assist in identifying and reproducing test blocking and automation blocking bugs.
• Interact with cross-functional team members for quality-related tasks and deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues with automation and automated tests.
• Develop, modify, and execute software test plans.
• Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
• Run multiple automated tests across different scenarios and device models, tracking results and schedules.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding and application of scripting languages such as Swift or Python.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with automated test execution and maintaining automated tests.
• Experience working on diverse problems requiring data analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of experience in SQE methodologies and practices.
• Deep familiarity with iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
